Nguong & CJ's Romantic Wedding at BRICK in San Diego, CA

Today is all about Nguong and CJ and their ultra romantic wedding at BRICK in Liberty Station last year. This adorable couple met at Bubsy's in LA and have been inseparable ever since. When it came time to take their relationship to the next level, CJ waited for the perfect moment to finally pop the question, and chose none other than the stunning backdrop of the Napli Coast in Kauai, HI. If you ask Nguong, that was the PERFECT location. (And I would have to agree, as that is where I got engaged as well)

When I asked them why they were the perfect fit, Nguong first response was 'Because our weirdness just works together!' That was the best answer I could have asked for, and watching them together I could clearly see the love they have for each other and it was clear that their weirdness did in fact, just work. One other thing that stood out to me about these two was their love for their fur children. Their dogs were a conversation staple and they were, of course, part of the wedding ceremony.

It was such a pleasure being apart of CJ and Nguong's wedding at BRICK and I am SO happy for them!! Their wedding was definitely one for the books and you aren't going to want to miss all the pretty details, so be sure to keep on scrolling for all the pretty!

While Nguong and CJ got ready at different locations, neither seemed to be the perfect fit for a first look. They instead chose to spend that special moment in one of the many park areas of Liberty Station. If you ask me, that was the perfect decision and allowed them to have a variety of photo backdrops.

When it came time for the ceremony, CJ and Nguoung chose a non-traditional circle set-up. This was an unexpected decision and added visual interest to their ceremony. Because they went this route, they weren't able to do a traditional arch, and opted for a stunning hanging floral chandelier above the middle of the ceremony. This served as the focal point for the ceremony and then become a gorgeous accent above their dance floor for the reception.

When it came to their reception setup, they opted for a very romantic vibe. They mixed rustic farm tables with soft white linen and accented them with gorgeous gardenesc floral arrangement, hints of rose gold, and an abundance of candle light. This combination created a stunning ambiance inside of the BRICK's blank canvas.

As for dessert, they opted for donuts instead of a traditional cake and used their dessert table as a gorgeous focal point. (A couple of my own heart!) I also have to admit that their cake topper was one of my favorite details and added just the right touch of 'fun' to the day!
