There is nothing more luxurious than European architecture, and Milagro Farms Vineyard and Winery was therefore the perfect backdrop for our stunning French styled shoot. It combined stunning architecture with a winery, which helped us create a luxurious wedding in a very natural setting. When it came to colors, we chose a romantic color palate of white, ivory, and greens with pops of a deep maroon, as we wanted the shoot to have a very natural and elegant feel.
In designing the tablescape, we started with an ornate wooden French table, luxurious upholstered chairs, and a long ivory table runner for a dramatic feel. Because the goal was to create a very elegant and grandiose feel, we felt adding ample floral and candle light was key. In order to do this, we created an asymmetrical look with one large floral arrangement and four smaller arrangements. We kept the color palate light, with pops of maroon for interest. We also added a mixture of white pillar candles, floating candles, and black candle sticks. When it came to the place settings, we wanted to keep them simple, yet luxurious. For this, we layered French ivory plates and added a pop of color with a maroon napkin. The custom menus pulled in the French theme, and the greenery wrapped around the menu help tie in the luxurious feel to the natural setting.
The grandiose table set the scene for the remainder of the shoot. The stunning maroon invitation was custom designed to match the floral on the table, and also incorporated French wording to really portray the French theme. When is came to dessert, we once again, wanted something natural and luxurious. The dark black cake with gold flakes and white and maroon floral was extremely elegant and in order to pull in the natural feel, we set it on a natural wine barrel with elegant draping. Finally, we also wanted to be sure our couple emulated the design of the shoot. Our bride wore a stunning French lace gown and we dressed the groom in a classic black suite. Their attire was clearly very elegant, but we kept their hair a make-up slightly more natural to match the overall aesthetic. Overall, we feel like we accomplished our goal: a very luxurious French wedding that took place in a very natural setting.
