Today I am excited to share a gorgeous Spanish inspired wedding we designed at The Rancho Bernardo Inn in San Diego. The inspiration for this day came from the Spanish architecture and ambiance of the Rancho Bernardo Inn. We decided to stick with a very romantic color pallet of greens and whites, with pops of blues and yellows.
We started the day off with an indoor ceremony, and wanted to re-create the idea of a small chapel wedding. In order to do this, we created a large wooden cross, adorned it with lush greenery and white floral, and surrounded it with ample candlelight. For this, we also wanted a very traditional look for our bride, and dressed her in a gorgeous lace gown with a long cathedral veil.
A big part of Spanish culture is food and drink, and we wanted to be sure to include that in the design. We set a unique food station overflowing with different Spanish tapas, and added lush greenery and Spanish tiles to finish off the look. We also created fun signature cocktails, the Don Quixote, La Valencia and Sangria, to go along with the theme. For those with a sweet tooth, Frost Me Gourmet created two gorgeous wedding cakes; one was designed with fun Spanish tiles and the other was inspired by gorgeous Spanish lace! This was clearly the perfect food and drink station for our luxurious Spanish inspired wedding, Rancho Bernardo Inn was clearly the perfect fit for this day!
We then moved outside at Rancho Bernardo Inn for the remainder of the day, and created a gorgeous Spanish inspired tablescape. We used an ornate wooden table and decided to set it in front of a gorgeous outdoor fireplace to really help set the scene. We then set each place setting with bold blue and yellow patterned dishware, a subtle white menu with soft blue water coloring, and a terracotta tile with each guest's name. In order to add a little bit more color and Spanish flair, we used Spanish tiles as coasters for all the mismatched wine glasses and water goblets. To finish off the look, we added adorned the entire table with stunning greenery and light colored floral, along with varying heights of pillar candles.
