Today I am so excited to be sharing all the images from Shelbi and David's magical day at the San Diego California Temple and Mission Brewery: Mission Cellar and Loft. This adorable couple chose a whimsical fairyland wedding theme, and let me just let you, it came together perfectly!!
First and foremost, can we talk about her stopping gown? This stunning, one of kind floral ballgown was the PERFECT fit for their whimsical wedding theme. I have to admit that I rarely see bride's taking big chances with their attire, as it's a risky move, but when it's done right, it can pay off in a big way. I don't know about you, but I have some serious dress envy here.
When it came to designing the rest of the day, Shelbi chose very a color scheme of lots of natural greenery, ivory, blushes and hints of purple. This color palette perfectly complimented the aesthetic of the day, and was carried through ever single design element.
Because Shelbi and David wanted plenty of time for couple photos, and wanted to do them in a more 'woodsy' atmosphere, they opted to do a pre-wedding photoshoot. This was such a great way for them to get all the couple photos they wanted, without having to rush the day.
When it came time to decorating Mission Brewery, Shelbi and David had to think outside of the box to transform the venue into a more whimsical aesthetic. Their solution: Lots of greenery and floral!
As guests entered the reception space, they were greeted with a wooden welcome sign adorned with lush greenery, as well as a mantle displaying photos from their 'pre-wedding' photos session. This was definitely a stand out feature of the day that guests loved!
As guests walked further into the space, they came across to gorgeous lounges, which Shelbi sourced herself! I have to admit that she did a fantastic job at finding the perfect pieces for her whimsical wedding!
Once it was time for dinner, guests made their way upstairs to the welcoming dinner space. The reception space was filled with wooden tables, mix-matched vintage chairs, lush garland and romantic lighting.
Also set upstairs was the show stopping wedding cake. This was definitely my favorite design element of the day (2nd to Shelbi's stunning gown!). The cake was displayed on a vintage dresser and was overflowing with greenery and whimsical floral. This was clearly the perfect cake for their whimsical wedding!
Cheers!
Ashley
