Whimsical Villa Francesca Wedding | Asumi + Jeremy

Working with Asumi and Jeremy was such a wonderful experience and it was such a rewarding day when we finally got to see them tie the knot! After multiple postponements due to COVID, a venue change to Villa Francesca in La Jolla and a complete wedding design revamp, they couldn't have been more ready to simple enjoy the wedding day with 24 of their closest friends and family members!

The Vision:

"Al Fresco, Romantic and Whimsical. I think our venue already fits the bill really well for what we have envisioned. We imagine something similar to our personality, a little reserved but casual and welcoming. A clean palette of white and greenery to allow the venue to showcase itself with little pops of an accent color to add a little bit of personality. We'd like it more of a garden dinner party with kids and adults having fun rather than an elegant and glamorous event." - Asumi + Jeremy

The Best Part Of Wedding Planning:

"The best part of wedding planning was easily planning to bring our families together!" - Asumi + Jeremy

CEREMONY: Front Lawn at Villa Francesca

Asumi and Jeremy's wedding ceremony took place in the front lawn of Villa Francesca. We placed a wooden arch at the front of the ceremony and accented with gorgeous light colored garden floral. We then accented with stunning light wood chairs and large floral arrangements at the back of the ceremony. It was truly the perfect location for them to say their 'I Dos!'"

After the ceremony ended, Traci True Photography captured gorgeous photos of the lovely couple around the property. I have to admit, my favorite photos took place right in front of the Spanish style front door and tiled staircase.

Reception: Backyard of Villa Francesca

After Asumi and Jeremy finished their photos, they joined guests for an intimate candlelit dinner with all of their closest friends and family members. When it came to designing the reception space, we kept the linen and chairs light and accented with gorgeous garden style floral arrangements with pops of yellow, peach and blush. We then added some some details to each guest's place setting with blush plates and a subtle yellow napkin; it was truly the perfect combination that maintained a very al fresco aesthetic, while also adding some fun personality into the day.
