Today we are taking you back to this fun and modern welcome dinner set-up! We designed this setup back in October for an unbelievable photography retreat with Heather Anderson Photography and couldn't have been happier with how it turned out!
Because the retreat took place in October, it was only fitting for the Welcome Dinner include elements of fall. The menu was infused with fall flavors (and delicious!) and we wanted the table itself to match. With that being said, we also didn't want to create something that felt soooo much like fall you couldn't share it year round. Because the retreat was geared towards photographers who were looking to build their portfolio, we wanted any photos they captured to be perfect for fall weather, but wanted them to feel comfortable sharing them outside of October and November.
In order to make that happen we chose a color scheme or mauve, mustard yellow and pops of burnt orange. We used a wooden table as the base for our design, as it truly embodied the 'natural' feel of fall. We then added a modern mustard runner to add more character and layered the place settings with light pick plates, mustard napkins, and natural menus with a burnt orange place card. When it came to the floral, we kept it very light and subtle. We, once again, wanted to this to accent all the colors we were bringing in on the place settings and chairs without pulling your attention away.
I have to admit that we were pretty happy with how it turned out and would eat at this table any day of the week!
