Today I'm excited to take you back to this gorgeous wedding at the Houdini Estate in West Hollywood, California. It was
The Planning Process:
Working with Kimberly and Dmytry was such an unbelievable experience and I absolutely loved getting to bring their vision to life. From day one, Kimberly had a gorgeous aesthetic in mind and wanted her wedding to be gorgeous both aesthetically and musically. Visually, she wanted to include lots of whites, greens and a hint of taupe and, musically, she wanted a night filled with dancing, jazz performances by her Dad and Brother, and a great DJ.
The Planner's Favorite Part:
While the entire day was truly a dream, there were definitely a few standout moments of the day. The first being the moment Kimberly saw the reception space for the first time. I will forever remember the moment when she was waiting to walk down the aisle and was a moment to stop and take a moment to look at the reception space. She was truly in awe and, as a planner, it was a really special moment. My other favorite moment of the day was Kimberly and Dmytry's first dance. Seeing as how they were professional dancers, I knew it was going to be good, and it did NOT disappoint!
Keeping on scrolling to see all the pretty details from the day and to see the epic details for their magical first dance.

Ceremony Details:
The ceremony took place by the waterfall at the Houdini Estate and it was GORGEOUS!
In designing the ceremony, we tried to keep it fairly simple, as there was already a lot of visual interest at the waterfall. Guest enjoyed the ceremony while sitting in white folding chairs, and we accented them with floral runners down the aisle and placed two 6' tall candelabras at the front of the ceremony. The candelabras added the perfect subtle hint of a European flair and pulled the whole ceremony aesthetic together. Lastly, one of the most meaningful 'musical' aspects of the ceremony was having Kimberly's sister sing; I know that was truly special for Kimberly and Dmytry.

The Bridal Party:
The bride was in a fitted lace gown with a low back. Her bridesmaids perfectly matched the day by wearing different styles of long taupe gowns. The men, on the other hand, wore wore black tuxedos paired with a bow tie.

Reception Details:
When it came to the reception on the lawn at the Houdini Estate, we were very intentional about every details.
Kimberly chose a mix of a taupe velvet linen and a white lace overlay, which perfectly coincided with Kimberly’s dress. We then accented the tables with clear ghost chairs (which Kimberly was set on from day one!) and added character at each place setting with gorgeous clear charger plates and modern menus with individual place cards and taupe ribbon. This was all tied together with white, green and taupe floral arrangements with European gold candelabras.
Additionally, we brought in a large all white dance floor and a white piano, which served as a dual purpose. Yes, they were gorgeous and perfectly in line with the aesthetic, but they also added to the ambiance and the special 'musical' experience of the day. Kimberly and Dmytry were professional dancers and created a 3 song medley first dance for all of their guests to enjoy. It was truly epic and the best first dance I have EVER seen. I have to admit that it by far my favorite part of the day!
