Where do I even start on this one?! We were asked to design for Heather Anderson's photographer's California Dreamin' Retreat back in October and it was such a wonderful experience! We designed four different shoot, including this ulta-romantic sunrise boudoir shoot!
The inspiration for this shoot came from classic boudoir shoots, and we thought is would then be fun to add a slightly more classy and romantic twist on the tradition. For this shoot, we set up a vintage sofa outside and surrounded it by lush floral and candlelight, which proved to be the perfect backdrop for the shoot. We then dressed our stunning bride-to-be in a delicate French lace robe from A Girl and a Serious Dream, which perfectly added to the classy aesthetic.
The final piece is designing this shoot, was keeping it simple enough that bride's could emulate something similar as a stand alone boudoir shoot or incorporate it into their wedding day. Imagine getting ready an hour early on your wedding day, bringing in a little bit of extra floral (or re-purposing from your wedding!) and adding in a mini editorial styled photography into the day. Sounds fun right! You don't even need all the fun furniture if you are staying in a nice hotel. Picture using a window sill, a fun lounge chair, or adding floral to the bed in your hotel suite!
