Wildest Dream

Taylor Swift's iconic video "Wildest Dreams" proved to be an unbelievable theme for our one of a kind styled shoot! Our goal for this shoot was to create unique bridal inspiration by pulling in pieces from the video, while not solely replicating what we had seen. Within the video, there is a glamorous 1950s actress on-set in the African wilderness. In order to achieve this unique look we set the shoot in an "African inspired" setting, and maintained balance of Hollywood glam and the natural elements of the African wilderness.

Starting with our Bride, we first dressed her in a stunning grey dress. You may recognize this dress from the video, as we re-created the iconic mustard colored dress in a color more suited for bridal inspiration. We also kept our bride's make-up very bold to bring in that more glamorous feel. In order to tie in the natural elements, we brought in an industrial fan to create amazing movement with the bride's dress, and brought in an adorable zebra!! We felt the combination of the glamorous bride with the African zebra was the perfect juxtaposition of Hollywood glam and African safari. The bride's second dress was even more glamorous and had a very classic Old Hollywood feel.

The next aspect of this shoot was the sweet heart table. The goal of this table was to create something that, once again, had the juxtaposition of Hollywood glam and African safari. In order to do this, we started off with a white and brown marble table, as we felt this was the perfect base for the look we wanted to create. From there, we built it up with lots of different textures to emulate nature and added pops of gold to add in the glam. Each place setting had a natural wooden charger, glamorous white and gold places, and was topped off with a stunning leather menu with gorgeous gold writing. When it came to floral, we wanted to add a large arrangement to create a more luxurious feel, but wanted the types of floral used to be reminiscent of Africa. We then completed the table with unique décor pieces to add to the overall feel.

The final two elements of the shoot were the invitation and cake. The invitation was one of a kind, and was designed with all natural elements, including a custom made leather envelope! The black cake was also extremely unique. It's one of a kind texture and white pattern pulled in the African feel, and the gorgeous white floral made it feel more glamorous. We then set in on vintage luggage to tie in the 1950s time period. When it was all said and done, our goal was accomplished! We had used an array of different textures and pops of glam to create the perfect balance of Hollywood glam and African Safari. Clearly, if Taylor Swift's video "Wildest Dreams" was a wedding, this is what it would look like!"
