Real Wedding: Kelsey + Kendall's Vintage Hemet Airport Wedding | San Diego, CA

Today I am SO excited to share all the details from Kelsey and Kendall's fun wedding at the Hemet Ryan Airport. Whoohoo!! I have to admit that this wedding will always hold a place near and dear to my heart, as the bride has been one of my closest friends for the past 11 years. She was the first friend I made after moving across the country for school, and has grown to be one of the best friends anyone could ask for! She is one of the most fun loving, genuine, and caring people I have ever met and I am SO excited that she finally found her other half! Kendall has proven to be the perfect fit for her, and it was such an honor to be apart of the team that made their dream wedding come to life.

The beginning of Kelsey and Kendall's love story took place at the Hemet Ryan Airport. Having always had a love for aviation, Kelsey took a job working at the airport for a short 6 month period. Over the course of those 6 months she became good friends with a studly pilot named Kendall. The more time the two spent together, the more they realized just how much they enjoyed each others company. Not long after they made the leap to becoming "more than friends," Kelsey was offered a job in Arizona that she could not pass up, and simultaneously, Kendall's new aviation job sent him to Arizona. Being relocated an hour apart was clearly fate telling them that they were meant to be together! They have been inseparable ever since, and after much moving around, are back in San Diego and ready to start their life together as husband and wife!

When it came to selecting a location for their big day, they both instantly knew that going back to Hemet and tying the knot where they met was the perfect place to start their life as husband and wife. It was a place of meaning and somewhere they both felt extremely comfortable. Once they selected their venue, Kelsey went on the hunt for the perfect dress, and selected a gorgeous vintage lace gown that perfectly fit her personality and complimented her vintage themed wedding. Keep on scrolling to see just how gorgeous she looked!

When it came to decor, Kelsey wanted to keep it fairly simple, elegant, and in line with their aviation theme. In order to do this, she created a fun seating chart out of an aviation map and themed each table number after states her and Kendall had visited. As for table decor, she used white linen, baby blue napkins, lots of candle light and elegant bud vases with white roses and baby's breath. This helped create a more elegant feel and made the airport feel like it was set for a wedding.
