Desert Wedding Inspiration

Today I am so excited to FINALLY be able to share this desert inspired photo shoot we put together at the Cactus Garden in Balboa Park. Our goal for this shoot was to take the rustic and natural elements that we see at so many weddings and add a fun twist to them. We felt like so many couples were getting stuck on how to make there outdoor wedding different, and we wanted to throw some fun and unique ideas their way!!

We first started with the color pallete. Instead of going with the common pastel colors, we chose a bright and bold color scheme that would really stand out against the desert backdrop and draw you in. Secondly, we selected a few statement pieces. These statement pieces (the large white peacock chairs and TeePee) created interest that you don't necessarily expect to see at a wedding. They make outstanding photo props, and end up being something your guests really remember. Thirdly, we played with our brides fashion. Who says a bride has to wear all white and have all elegant jewelry? As a bride, your look should match the style of your wedding and your personality. Don't be afraid to be creative!
