Vibrant Darlington House + The Bahia Sternwheeler | Jacqueline + Alex

Jacqueline and Alex's wedding at Darlington House and reception on the Bahia Sternwheeler will be an event I will ALWAYS remember! This entire planning process was so much fun, and I loved how intentional this couple was with all the details to make their wedding so meaningful, and so "them"!

When looking at venues in San Diego, Jacqueline and Alex fell in love with Darlington House and the Bahia Sternwheeler. They loved that Darlington House was a beautiful historic home, and had that Southern California charm with the outdoor garden. They also loved that the Bahia Sternwheeler offered a unique boat experience and a fun atmosphere. They decided to go with both venues, doing their ceremony at Darlington House and their reception at The Bahia Sternwheeler! Keep scrolling to see all of the fun details from this special day!

Ceremony: The Rose Garden at Darlington House

One of my personal favorite moments from the entire planning process was creating Jacqueline and Alex's floral vision for their ceremony come to life. Although it took a few trial and error mood boards when it came to nailing down the exact color scheme, what came to life come wedding day was exactly what the couple was envisioning. From the floral climbing up the garden gate entrance, to the lush arrangements lining the aisle, to the stunning and full floral arch- all while Oceanside String Quartet is playing- I don't think I have witnessed a more perfect setting to get married to your best friend!

Couple Photos

While guests enjoyed California and Louisiana inspired appetizers, a nod to both of their roots, Jacqueline and Alex snuck off to take some romantics around the gorgeous La Jolla neighborhood. These two enjoyed having these sweet moments to themselves, as it was the calm before the (very fun) storm, being their wedding reception on The Bahia Sternwheeler!

Reception: The Bahia Sternwheeler

Party time!! Guests were shuttled from Darlington House and immediately greeted with a glass of champagne to start the reception off on the right foot! Everyone danced the night away to the live band, Lucky Devils, and the only moment Jacqueline and Alex weren't on the dance floor was when they had to cut their wedding cake! These two sweethearts were nothing but smiles the entire night!
