Haydee + Ben's Intimate Destination Wedding in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Updated: May 25, 2021

It's hard to believe that it is almost Haydee and Ben's anniversary! In light of everything going on, I thought is would be fun their fun and intimate destination wedding in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

This was a special wedding for me, as Haydee was a friend of mine in the wedding industry. And for those of you looking for an extremely talented hair and makeup artist, Haydee is your girl! Be sure to check her out at the Bristle Hair and Makeup Artistry. :) When it came to time for her to start diving into wedding planning, it didn't surprise me one bit that she was leaning towards a smaller destination wedding. It's funny, I think those of us in the wedding industry are around weddings so often that we all just want a very small and relaxing wedding when it comes time to tie the knot.

After they chose Cabo San Lucas as their wedding location, the first step was to find the right venue. Haydee ended up finding a gorgeous private estate that also doubled as a wedding venue. Not only was the architecture stunning, but it also had it's own private beach, a perfect reception space, and allowed her and her family to stay on-site. It checked ALL the boxes and they couldn't have asked for a better location!

On the wedding day, Haydee and her bridesmaids were able to get ready in the light and airy bridal suit and Haydee looked absolutely stunning! Her intricate mermaid gown and breathtaking hairpiece were the perfect combination.

Ceremony:

When the wedding day arrived, everyone gathered on the private beach for a intimate ceremony. The color of the water in Cabo San Lucas is so vibrant and served as the perfect wedding backdrop. The dark wooden chairs stood out again the sand, the lanterns added an elegant feel, and the floral added the perfect pop of color. This was truly the perfect ceremony backdrop for Haydee and Ben!

Cocktail Hour:

Once the ceremony ended, guests enjoyed a relaxing cocktail hour filled with delicious food and tequila shots! Meanwhile, Haydee and Ben enjoyed some along time on the beach and partook in some epic golden hour photos.

Reception:

After Haydee and Ben were finished with photos, guests enjoyed an intimate plated dinner overlooking the ocean. When it cam to the aesthetics, Haydee chose white linens to keep the space feeling very clean and dark wooden chairs to add a hint of a rustic vibe. The bold floral added color and the assortment or candles and glass charger plates created a very intimate feel.

Once dinner was over, guests danced the night away and came together to release lanterns out over the ocean. This was such a fun experience for guests that symbolized hope and the start of a new chapter in Haydee and Ben's lives.
