Colorado Ranch Wedding | Katelyn + Vincent

Katelyn and Vincent were happily married on their Family Ranch in Colorado and it was truly a western dream.

Katelyn + Vincent's Story:

Katelyn and Vincent first met back in 2000 due to their Dad's being friends. Over the years, Vincent became best friend's with Katelyn's brother and was constantly around. In the Spring of 2014, Katelyn finally expressed she had a crush on Vincent. It took time for the idea to come around for them both and finally, in March of 2015, they went to their first movie together! Not long after that, Vincent asked Katlyn to become his girlfriend and their relationship quickly bloomed when they made multiple moves; first to Florida and then back to Denver. Vincent and Katelyn always knew they wanted to get married, especially after they got their dog, Judd. Katelyn bugged Vincent about a ring all the time and Vincent FINALLY asked her to Marry him on December 23, 2019. He popped the question surrounded by Family at Vincent's Uncle's Restaurant, Milano's, in their hometown, Lima, Ohio. Katelyn was completely surprised & had no idea!

The Planning Process:

Katlyn and Vincent's wedding took place on their family ranch and being able to get married somewhere meaningful that left like them as truly their favorite part of the whole process.

The couple had envisioned an intimate, family gathering where everyone felt loved and included. Their rustic, western wedding was filled with naturistic themes and hints of different shades of purple. The ranch didn't need to be dressed up with lots of decor, as the property's natural beauty and views of the Rocky Mountains pulled everything together. The bridesmaids worn a plum color gown while their bouquets carried ivory, pink and small hints of lilac. The attire of the Groom and Groomsmen fit the theme nicely with tan overalls on a white button-up and grey slacks. The bride, wearing a fit and flare lace gown with cap sleeves and keyhole back, looked absolutely incredible.

Planner's Favorite Part:

Looking back at the day, I would say getting to see the couple take photos with their horse was my absolute favorite part of the day. I also have to admit that their dog, Judd, was adorable and was another highlight of the day for me!

The Ceremony:

The ceremony took place on their open pasture in the Family Ranch and was breathtaking!

The ceremony did not need much decor due to it's natural beauty, however, Katelyn opted to place flowers in mason jars on Shepard's hooks down the aisle. She also brought in a wooden arch and accented with gorgeous floral arrangements to pull the whole aesthetic together. All in all, the the view of this ceremony was definitely a sight to see.

Their dog, Judd, made an eye catching appearance before the entrance of the beautiful Bride, herself.

The Reception:

The reception took place in the barn of the Family Ranch and gave a homely feeling.

It is no doubt a barn for your reception is definitely unique and gives a personal flare. The space was decorated in mostly ivory to give the space a clean, bright feel. Round tables for the guests were decorated with white linens and a hint of color was provided by the floral bouquets in the center of each table. White twinkle lights hung across the dessert table to give a whimsical feel to the evening.

When it came it came to dessert, the cake perfectly accented the day. The 2 tier cake was made to look like wood and perfectly matched the theme of this Colorado wedding. The many desserts that surrounded this masterpiece gave guests a variety to fulfill their sweet tooth.
