How To Create Your Perfect Wedding Vendor Team In San Diego, CA

Putting together a stellar vendor team for your wedding is one of, if not the, most important aspects of planning your wedding. These are the people you will be working with over the next year, and are the people you will be trusting to make your day picture perfect. With that being said, there are hundred of different people out there. How in the world to you narrow it down and find the perfect team for you and your fiance? In order to help guide you, we have compiled four of our best suggests in guiding you through this process.

DO YOUR RESEARCH - Search through google, social media, and wedding blogs to find vendors who seem like they may be a good fit for you. Take a look at their portfolio to ensure their style is fitting for your wedding. Also, be sure to pay attention to their voice on the website and their social media pages. Does this sound like someone who knows what they are talking about, has been in the industry awhile, and is somebody you are going to get along with? Once you zone in on a few vendors you think could be a good fit, be sure to check their reviews. Do they have more than one testimonial and do you see reviews for the type of service you are looking for?

LISTEN TO YOUR GUT - Once you narrow your vendor list down, we suggest you meet your top 3 in each category in person. Take the time to get to know them, and ensure your personalities are going to mesh well. You also want to be sure you feel 100% confident with every vendor you are hiring. If you are debating between 2 vendors, I always suggest going with the one that just 'feels right.'

BE UP FRONT ABOUT YOUR BUDGET - As uncomfortable as talking budget can be, it is always in your best interest to be upfront about your budget. Letting potential vendors know where you stand from the beginning will allow them to either put together a custom package that fits your needs exactly, or it gives them the opportunity to let you know that your budget doesn't work with their services. Either way, setting those expectations from the beginning is going to set you up for success.

USE PREFERRED VENDORS - You know that preferred vendor lists that you got from your venue (and possible other vendors)? USE IT!! As vendors, we don't only give you this list to make your life easier, but to ensure your wedding day is set up for success. The vendors listed on these have a track record of providing a wonderful service, and are most likely going to be priced around your budget. These vendors also work well together, and I cannot stress how important that is! The lines of communication are already open between these vendors, and so it becomes extremely easy for them to pass on ideas, and to get any and all information they are looking for. They also already know how each other work, and are able to easily and effectively communicate on your wedding day. It may not seem like a huge deal from the beginning, but hiring a "team" of vendors who work well together will make your planning process and wedding day that much better; that I promise!

Do you need help putting together your dream team here in San Diego? That's what we are here for! Don't hesitate to reach out if you need suggestions on getting started on your wedding.
